Today’s Instagram #merryandwrite challenge was:

Day 18: What’s your favorite thing about your antagonist villain?

My favorite thing is that Desiree is her own enemy. The adventure that is this series is her learning and growing and opening her eyes to other perspectives and personalities and how that might come together for herself.

Of course, the Rishis are great in their own right- and who really is the villain IS the question…

Days 15, 16, & 17

How’d I get so behind! (Don’t answer that)

Day 15: Do you write best in the morning, evening, or in between?

I don’t have a favorite time of day. As long as I’ve mined out distractions I’m good anytime 🤓


Day 16: How are your December goals coming along?

Killing it!! My second book’s release has been pushed up a week so you can all get your hands on it on Thursday (December 20th)! That’s TWO books this year I published!! Book three is well on its way, as well as another project I’ve decided to tackle under a pseudonym.


Day 17: what’s the favorite thing about your MC or WIP?

I love that Dee follows the Hero’s path, basically literally. Book 1 has her in this place where she has no idea what’s going on- and she’s good with that. Then, as things unfold she’s forced to figure things out or risk being a pawn for others.

Day 1: Christmas, Kwanza, Hanukkah, or none of the above

I am a Christmas gal. It’s my favorite time of year, snow and all. It’s the only time of year I’m glad for snow and not cry over cold weather. Growing up in a temperate climate, it just doesn’t seem right not to have a “white Christmas.”

Day 2: What are your writing goals as the year comes to an end?

This one was easy for me- I hit my goals! Book Two is on schedule to release on Christmas Day, and Book Three is well underway. I’ve also made some major decisions about the state of my “marketing” profile. I’m excited for what’s to come, and even more excited about the projects I have on deck and my capability to complete them.

Day 3: Introduce the main character(s) of your WIP or your fav of the year.

My current main Work in Progress is The Fool’s Path series. Book One released in July, and Book Two is set to come out on Christmas Day.

Desiree “Dee” Galen is my MC. She’s a little bit of a spaz, completely unsure of her world, and even less sure about how she should move through said world. The Fool’s Path follows her along her journey as she learns about herself, her past and tries to figure out a future that belongs solely to her.
